What is Fresh Check Day?
Fresh Check Day is a program designed to bring light to topics concerning mental health promotion and suicide prevention on college campuses. With the support of multiple departments, groups and our very own staff at ECU, the event aims to create a hopeful and encouraging environment for students looking to learn more about mental health and the resources available to them on campus.
Peer to Peer Learning
At each interactive booth, you’ll have the opportunity to engage with your peers and learn about important topics that affect our students on campus.
Here’s a Sneak Peek at Some of Our Booths:
Nine out of Ten
- One in ten college students contemplate suicide. At any given time, nine out of ten students may have the opportunity to help those who are struggling. Learn about the warning signs of suicide and how you can help.
Check In & Chill Out
- Learn about healthy coping strategies and ways to incorporate relaxing practices into your day in order to prevent mental health problems from escalating and manage your stress and emotions. Come hang out with us and some Therapy dogs that will be sure to brighten up your day!
Thrive
