Club Sports: Athletic Training Services

Campus Recreation and Wellness’s (CRW) Athletic Trainer provides healthcare services to Club Sports athletes. Jodie specializes in injury prevention, evaluations, rehabilitation, immediate and emergency care, taping/wrapping/bracing, the use of therapeutic modalities, concussion management, return-to-play decisions, and physician referrals when necessary. Athletic Trainers are highly qualified, multi-skilled healthcare professionals who deliver care under the direction of a physician, in accordance with their education, training, and the state’s statutes, rules, and regulations. CRW’s Athletic Trainer is both state-licensed and nationally certified to practice athletic training in North Carolina.

Any injuries that occur during games or events over the weekend can be scheduled with our Athletic Trainers on Monday from 4 PM to 6 PM using the link above. 

The Athletic Training Room is located on the first floor of the Eakin Student Recreation Center, across from basketball courts 1 and 2, and beside the massage chairs.

If you require an injury or concussion evaluation and are unable to schedule an appointment within one week of the injury, please contact our staff at crwathletictraining@ecu.edu.

Meet Our Athletic Trainer

Jodie Klenow, a 2019 ECU Athletic Training graduate, joined the CRW team in July 2023. She brings experience from middle school, high school, and orthopedic clinic settings. In her free time, she enjoys the beach, antique shopping, reading, and pickleball.
