Adventure Center Rental Rates
Rentals are available to all ECU fee paying Students and CRW Members. The Adventure Center is located at the back of the Student Recreation Center adjacent to the climbing wall, just follow the boot prints leading from the Customer Service desk.

Pickup/Drop-off Times & Cost
ECU Adventure Rental Center is located off the basketball courts adjacent to the climbing wall inside the Eakin Student Recreation Center. Rental Gear can be picked up and returned during the Adventure Center’s normal business hours.
- Pickup Friday & Return Monday = Weekend Rate
- Pickup & Return Within 24 hours = Day rate
- Every additional 24 hours = Additional Day rates
- Please contact us if you would like to rent gear for longer than a weekend and we can make arrangements.
Gear is to be returned clean and dry. Renter is subject to a $10.00 cleaning fee for the return of dirty equipment.
No refunds will be issued to renters for gear not used due to inclement weather or “a change of plans”. Claims about the unsuitability of equipment are limited to a refund of rental fees and shall be determined on a case by case basis. Late fees will be applied to any/all equipment not returned on the agreed upon return date. For each day the equipment is late, the renter will be charged the corresponding daily rental rate for that specific piece of equipment.
When attaching equipment to vehicles, the renter accepts all responsibility for any damage caused during transportation. Adventure Leadership Staff will show the renter the proper way to transport equipment and assist the renter in attaching that equipment securely to your vehicle. It is the renter’s responsibility to check the equipment prior to driving and when returning gear to the Adventure Center. The Adventure Leadership Program is not responsible for any vehicle damage caused by rental gear.
Reservations
Equipment may be reserved in advance by contacting the Adventure Center at adventure@ecu.edu. For large equipment reservations, please contact the Adventure Center at least one week in advance to ensure availability of equipment. Reservation cancellations must be made at least one day in advance of the check-out date to avoid a cancellation fee.
