Hot Water Updates

Please be advised that Facilities Services is performing maintenance to the domestic hot water system at the Student Recreation Center located on Main Campus. Hot water to the showers and sinks may fluctuate during peak user times until further notice.

The existing steam-fed hot water tank has developed a leak. This leak has been secured to avoid catastrophic failure, however, it has deemed the unit inoperable. A smaller, electric tank has been installed to provide hot water to the Student Recreation Center until a permanent steam-fed tank can be designed and built. Facilities Services has secured a contract for this work and will continue to monitor the situation.

Pool temperatures are not affected by this issue and continue to remain between 83-85 degrees Fahrenheit.
