Student Memberships
- Students who are currently enrolled and paying student activity fees must show their ECU 1 Card for entrance into the ESRC and HSC Recreation Center and to participate in programs and services.
- Students are only members for the current semester they are paying activity fees or have purchased membership.
- Distance Education Students not paying on-campus student activity fees must purchase a membership in order to utilize the facilities.
- Distance Education Students may only purchase a membership for the semester they are enrolled.
- UNC System students are eligible for memberships just as ECU students. Students must show their own school’s student ID in order to take advantage of student pricing.
Student Intern Memberships
- East Carolina University facilitates temporary, full-time internship opportunities for select international students to do an academic internship on campus with an ECU faculty supervisor or with a US company.
- Student Interns do not pay ECU tuition or student fees. Student interns are eligible for a membership during the semester in which they are interning for the student rate.

Student Household Memberships
- Students must be present with their ECU 1Card to purchase a membership for any household member.
- Proof of the same address is required at the time of membership registration and renewal. Below is a list of acceptable items. Please bring one item to show proof of address. The current student (sponsoring member) must hold an active membership and be present at the time of household membership purchases.
- Members with no ECU 1Card will be given a CRW key tag. The first key tag is free then there will be a $5 charge for any lost/damaged replacements.

Membership Prorate Dates
Memberships will be prorated on the following dates:
- 2023-2024
- Fall Semester: October 16th, 2023
- Spring Semester: March 13th, 2024
- Summer Semester: June 28th, 2024
- 2024-2025
- Fall Semester: October 14th, 2024
- Spring Semester: March 12th, 2025
- Summer Semester: June 25th, 2025
